My fellow omgossipers brace yourselves --
Icon fashioner designer, Karl Lagerfeld, dropped a bombshell this past weekend. When he shared candidly, a recent hiccup, experienced with 20 time Oscar nominee Meryl Streep.
For 2017's broadcast of The Oscar Awards, which aired last night, Lagerfeld claims the Hollywood legend had her eye on a grey silk number. She planned to wear it for the A-list event, but asked for last minute alterations to fit her criteria -- this made the Chanel camp get hard to work.
"I made a sketch, and we started to make the dress", said the Chanel creative director to WWD.
Unfortunately days later he wistfully received a phone call from a member of Meryl's camp saying -- "Don't continue the dress. We found somebody who will pay us,'" --
"We give them dresses, we make the dresses, but we don't pay", he told WWD.
The award winning actress's camp has denied this being the reason she chose to wear someone else's design.
This is a completely untrue story," the rep said in a statement to E! News... "Ms. Streep would NEVER wear anything in exchange for payment."
Omgossipers it's time to weigh in!!!
